I figured one of these is probably necessary with someone as notorious as Discord. He is the spirit of disharmony and chaos, meaning he can make things completely random and alter various things to his liking, even if they're naturally impossible. In the show, this is shown when he magically removes horns from unicorns and wings from pegasi, as well as causing 'disharmony' by corrupting ponies into behaving the opposite of their true selves; namely, making kind ponies cruel, generous ponies greedy, and truthful ponies dishonest.
